Big weights of F1s are being caught from the Woodland Lake. Bag weights have been consistently over 60lb, with winning match weights smashing the tonne. The fish have been coming out to maggots fished over groundbait. For good weights of larger carp Lake 2 is worth trying on waggler or bomb tactics. Big carp are showing well on this large water at the moment. Commons and mirrors of 30lb-plus have been caught in the past month by anglers fishing over large spreads of boilies with snowman rigs. Location is paramount on this venue, so spend time looking around the banks before you decide on where to fish. The reservoir also holds a good head of quality roach, as well as some huge bream running to 15lb. The feeder with worms and maggots is the best approach for these.
