TOP TEAMS LINE UP FOR SEMIS IN SUPERCUP 2019

Results in for round two of contest

-

ROUND two of the 2019 Angling times/BaitTech Supercup is done and dusted and we now know the 28 teams that will do battle in the three regional semi Finals later this summer.

Aston Park Fishery, Larford Lakes and Monk Lakes await in each region and they should ensure lots of bites, big weights and as fair a team match as you can get. The aim of all teams is finish in the top five on the day and so stand a chance of lifting the famous silver trophy!

Defending champions Whitemoor Lakes will be at

Monks after a tricky away tie against HLS Dad’s Army. The low weight affair saw them through on total weight after a tie on points. Another impressive performance in the South came from Dorking AS who beat Harefield Tackle again on total weight at Gold Valley Lakes.

Team Martin, a side based strongly around one large fishing family in the Dartford area, made the trip across the Thames a winning one. They beat Bill’s Tackle at Coleman’s Cottage. How End Fisheries have both of their sides in the semis after disposing of HAPS A and a strong

JL Tackle side in away matches. Meanwhile, 2018 finalists South Cerney AC Gold are also back in the semis after winning a threeway tie against Top Tackle and Babcock AC.

Moving into the Midlands, Woodhouse Angling Centre, finalists last year, are off to Larford after seeing off Gladstone AC with ease. They’ll be joined by Mansfield neighbours Tackle Shack Woodhouse who also had a comfortable win against North Hykeham.

Local sides Ridgemere Rejects, DECCA and Fitters will all be looking forwards to a trip down the road to the Stourport fishery after winning their ties against Wyre Forest, Tackle Shack Nuneaton and Wheatsheaf Stores respectively. JVAC topped the East Anglian tie against Tackle & Bates MG with a win on total weight at Rookery Waters.
