Lee Harris recommends Roman Lake on this six-lake southern complex if you want to do battle with monster catfish.
Lee told Angling Times: “On a recent session I set up three rods on mackerel baits, fished close to the island. “This resulted in a total of 14 catfish, the biggest of which was 50lb and the smallest 31lb – including a treble take.
“I’ve fished a lot of venues for catfish and this place is 100 per cent one of the best.
“The fishery is quiet and clean, and the staff cannot do enough to help you – in fact I can’t praise it highly enough.”
