Lavender HaLL FisHery, Coventry, West MidLands

Facebook fan Duggi Douglas from Birmingham said Lavender Hall Fishery is a great place to teach youngsters how to fish, and it’s where he and his son caught this cracking mirror carp.

There are four pleasure/match fishing lakes and one Specimen Lake here. Big bags can be had from the match waters, with 100lb a realistic possibility, while the Specimen Lake boasts carp to just over 30lb.

There is a well-stocked tackle shop and on-site café too, making this venue the perfect spot for a family day out.

Gavin Barrett caught this cracking 12lb 7oz barbel from the famous Royalty Fishery in Christchurch.

Now is the perfect time to target the barbel the fishery is renowned for, with higher water levels and a touch of colour creating perfect feeding conditions for these fish. Gavin caught his specimen on legered dumbell boilies presented on a steady glide.

It’s not just barbel here either – last year the fishery produced pike over 20lb, chub over 7lb, perch over 3lb and some quality silver fi sh bags.

For all the latest info contact Davis Tackle, who are located just a short walk from the venue. Contact: Davis Tackle,
