The most famous of all these stretches is the Throop Fishery, which has featured on TV shows such as Matt Hayes’ Record Breaking Fish.

GRAND UNION CANAL, LUTON, BEDFORDSHIRE
LURE fishing on canals isn’t easy, but Charlie Newton persevered, to be rewarded with this lovely perch from the Grand Union.
These aren’t the only fish getting caught from the canal in this area. Anglers have also been successful with the carp, with 20lb-plus specimens landed.
If you are a more traditional angler who fishes the pole, then you won’t be too disappointed because good bags of perch and silver fish have been caught on punched bread and pinkie. Contact: 01582 728114
