FEED LOTS OF GROUNDBAIT

IF YOU catch one roach there will be plenty more about. For that reason, you want to feed in a way that pulls in lots of fish very quickly, and nothing is better for doing that than groundbait.

Don’t be shy with the amount. Throwing in 10 or 12 large balls containing hemp and caster at the start will ‘ring the dinner bell’ for the roach and immediately attract them. An active mix (one that is hemp-based and which will give off particles steadily) is good, but be sure to make it sticky so it can carry those particles down to the bottom in up to 12ft of flowing water.
