USE LIGHT HOOKS

DELICACY should still play a part in your roach attack and this is certainly true of hooks. If the hook is too heavy and thick in the wire, it will make the bait behave unnaturally to the fish. A classic light wire match hook is unbeatable, and strong enough to land any bonus fish you may hook when fishing with maggots, casters or hemp.

Go for a size 20 or 18 relevant to the bait being used. A wide gape pattern is a good choice as you can fish double baits while still leaving plenty of hookpoint showing.
