NO DOUBT ABOUT IT… WINTER CARPING IS TOUGH!

-

TIME is flying by and here we are in February already. Thanks to the Angling Trust we are still fishing too, albeit on a very limited basis, but just a couple of hours to get your head away from the crazy world right now is a godsend.

Personally, carping hasn’t been on the agenda for me, as waters close by have either been closed or are too much of a mammoth challenge. The rivers have been where I have found my fishing fix, but be assured... as soon as possible, the rods will be back on those alarms.

Luckily, being motivated to go carp fishing is something our collection of experts in this month’s issue are not short of. So, if you are thinking maybe the weather is too cold to head out and catch a carp, think again.

Julian Cundiff has to be regarded as somewhat of a legend in carp fishing circles and in this month’s issue he continues doing what he does best – inspiring people to just get out and catch fish, while providing his tips to make that task much easier.

If it is just not being able to get bait that is stopping you, then Adam Penning’s supermarket liquid hacks will give you the perfect edge to liven up just a small quantity of feed. This preparation can make all the difference, and to round off this this issue Rob Hughes explains why preparation is everything when it comes to the short session fishing we all now face.

Hopefully, something in the next few pages will inspire you to get the carp rods out on a local water.

Don’t worry if you don’t catch, there’s no doubt that winter carp fishing is tough. But if you do get lucky, remember to share your capture with us on Facebook or Instagram. Stay safe, and tight lines for the month.
