Much-loved Beith gala day to return
A MUCH loved Beith event is set to return in full for the first time in five years.
The St Inan’s Gala Day has not been held in its entirety since 2019, before the Covid pandemic, but that is all set to change this year.
It comes at the Beith Community Association (BCA) confirmed that the gala would be making its grand return on Saturday, June 22.
The charity is now extending a warm invitation to all interested parties to join us in making this year’s event truly memorable.
BCA chairperson James Robson is now hoping that Beith can come together and show the true community spirit which the event encapsulates.
He said: “At BCA SCIO, we believe in the power of community events like St Inan’s Gala Day to bring people together and strengthen the bonds within our town.
“We’re excited to revive this cherished tradition and invite everyone to participate in creating a day filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit.”
Though the event was held in 2023, this was organised
in a ‘trimmed down’ format.
June this year will see a return of all the previous traditions which includes the revival of the royal party tradition, led by Beith Primary School.
In addition to the royal party, the BCA are planning to host a small parade, laying the groundwork for future grand processions.
James added: “However, we can’t achieve this alone. St Inan’s Gala Day is a celebration for the entire community, and we need your support to make it a success.
“Whether you represent a local organisation, are a talented musician, or simply wish to contribute, we welcome your participation.
