ANDERSON - the family of the late Isobel Anderson would like to thank everyone most sincerely for the many kind expression­s of sympathy following their recent sad loss of Isobel. Special thanks to all the Home Carers, Social Work and NHS staff and everyone who has looked after Isobel over the years for their kind care and attention, there are too many of you to name. Grateful thanks to Stan Lupton for his efficiency and compassion­ate funeral arrangemen­ts. Special thanks also to the Rev William Crossan for his caring words and a lovely and fitting service. Finally, our thanks to all who paid their respects at the church and graveside and to the Ardshiel for the catering. Donations for Campbeltow­n Diabetics raised £350.

BEATTIE - The family of the late Janice would like to thank all the Lochgilphe­ad medical staff, both nursing assistants and the district nurses, who made Janice’s end of life that bit more comfortabl­e. Special thanks to Dr Claire Harris and Dr Jeremy Philips who went above and beyond with their care for Janice. Thanks also to family and friends throughout Argyll for the kindness, thoughtful­ness, love and support during Janice’s two year illness. Thank you to the Rev David Carruthers for his comforting service, everyone’s attendance at Janice’s funeral was much appreciate­d.

MCMILLAN - Archie and family would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the lovely cards, flowers, baking and kind expression­s of sympathy received after their recent sad loss of Nan. Special thanks to Doctor Norrie and nursing staff at Campbeltow­n Hospital, and Gartnavel and Beatson Hospitals for their care and support. Thanks to the district nurses and carers for their dedication and endless support. Thanks to Rev Philip Wallace for a heartfelt service, to David McEwan for excellent music, to Kenneth and Rhys Blair for profession­al services, to the Ardshiel Hotel for the purvey and to all who paid their last respects at church and graveside. The retiral collection for Lorne and Lowland Parish Church amounted to £467.57.

WIKE - The family of the late David Wike would like to thank everyone for the support and many kindnesses shown to them at this sad time. Thanks also to the girls at the Argyll Hotel, to Father Tony Wood and the wonderful Blair family, not forgetting Mr Crossan, and the staff at Cardross Crematoriu­m for their sympatheti­c handling of the service. Special thanks also to medical staff at Campbeltow­n A&E and the Queen Elizabeth University Critical Coronary Unit. Thank you and we wish you all the peace of the season.
