TO MARK Argyll Holiday’s 50th birthday, the holiday park operator is pulling out all the stops to make Gig in the Goil 2017 a spectacular family event.

Musical talent

The Lochgoilhead music festival will take place from Friday May 5 to Sunday May 7 and feature a host of musical talent, including acoustic, contemporary and traditional artists from around the country.

A selection of local food and drink will be on offer and there will be plenty activities to keep the little ones entertained over the weekend event at Argyll Holiday’s Drimsynie Estate.

The event will take place across various venues throughout the weekend, against the backdrop of Argyll’s stunning countryside.

The main stage will be located at the popular Drimsynie House Hotel and will feature a headline set from multi award-winning Skerryvore.

Formed in Tiree, the band attracts large crowds across the world and were recently crowned Live Band of the Year at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards.

Acoustic sets

A host of solo acts from across Scotland will perform intimate acoustic sets in the cosy Fireside Bar and a selection of indie acts and ones to watch will be taking to The Castle Lounge, also located in Drimsynie House Hotel.

Skerryvore will be joined by a host of local indie groups and Scottish folk bands, including Tide Lines and 2016 Dance Band of the Year, Trail West.
