Staff changes at Craignish Hall ahead of Clod Ensemble’s visit
THERE have been some significant changes in personnel at Craignish Village Hall recently.
John Saich has been appointed as the new arts programmes manager and has taken up responsibility for all theatre, music and dance programming at the hall, while Tiziana Tedoldi is now the hall manager.
Working with a committed team of volunteers, both new managers are planning exciting projects for the year ahead and rolling out the final few weeks of the 2016-17 arts programme.
The 2016-17 season will be culminating in style with a number of performances, most notably Clod Ensemble’s award-winning production, The
Red Chair, which has recently featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s Janice Forsyth show. The performance will take place on Wednesday March 15, starting at 7.30pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend and get a taste of what’s to come from John and the team in the future.
The Red Chair is an intimate new show from the ensemble and has a dark, original fairy tale at its heart.
Ballad
The show takes the form of a surreal ballad that centres on a man who could not stop eating, a wife doomed to cook his meals and their invisible daughter. Writer and performer Sarah Cameron uses Scots dialect and traditional music to tell a story of compulsion, complacency and drudgery.
Craignish Village Hall has gained a reputation as a first-class community hub and arts venue.
John is very much looking forward to working with Tiziana, all the volunteers and members of the community to build on the successes of the recent tenth anniversary programme.
The programme offers some outstanding performances, with shows and events through until April.
