Argyll and Bute nursing awards
A SERIES of excellence awards for nurses and midwives working within Argyll and Bute took place for the first time this week.
The lead nurse office for the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) this year launched a series of awards for nursing staff working within the HSCP.
The inaugural awards were presented to deserving staff in Inveraray on Friday May 12, which was also, rather fittingly, International Nurses Day.
Liz Higgins, lead nurse for Argyll and Bute HSCP, said: ‘Nurses and midwives across Argyll and Bute are providing a first class service to their communities every day and we felt that it was important that they were recognised for their hard work and dedication to patients.’
The Mid Argyll extended community care team – consisting of Rhona Larkin, Colette Morgan, Trevor Lines, Cathy Griffiths and Michelle Campbell – did particularly well, collecting the Patients’ Choice award.
