THE SILVER screen returns to Lochgilphead this weekend thanks to a travelling cinema.
Film fans will be pleased to know that the Screen Machine is back in Mid Argyll to showcase the latest box office hits this Saturday and Sunday June 10 and 11.
The Screen Machine is an 80-seat, air-conditioned mobile cinema which brings the latest films to remote and rural areas of Scotland, touring more than 40 communities in the Highlands and Western Isles for as long as 10 weeks at a time.
The travelling cinema is owned and operated by Regional Screen Scotland and funded by Creative Scotland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, and sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Over its two-day stay in Lochgilphead, the Screen Machine will be showing Beauty and the Beast, Pirates of the Caribbean: Salizar’s Revenge and Their Finest. Programme: Beauty and the Beast, Saturday 5.30pm; Their Finest, Saturday 8.30pm and Sunday 2pm; Pirates of the Caribbean: Salizar’s Revenge, Sunday 5.30pm.
