Whisky West Coast

‘Whisky West Coast is situated on Harbour Street in Tarbert and is the only Malt Whisky Retailer in the area promoting all the wonderful distilleries we have here including, Arran, Glen Scotia, Springbank, Jura and all the distilleries on Islay.

We are lucky to have two recognised regional areas, with (Campbeltown) being one Springbank, Glen Scotia, Glengyle in its own rite and the other being the world recognised Islay (Island) which has eight working distilleries at the moment.

The idea behind this shop can be traced back to my 10+ years of working in the local pub which gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world who would stop off for a night on their way to Islay for the Malt Whisky Festival (Whisky Olympics).

There is definitely something about Argyll and the Isles that makes its whisky so special. Maybe it’s the water or the skills that have been passed down through the generations. What is certain is that this area known as The Whisky Coast is a whisky-lover heaven, with 14 worldclass distilleries.
