MACGILP - The family of the late Alasdair B MacGilp would like to thank everyone for flowers, cards and messages of sympathy and support received following their recent sad loss. Grateful thanks to Knapdale Ward, social care services, Dochas Centre and Erskine Care Home who provided specialist care in the last year of Alasdair’s life. Our thanks also to Rev David Carruthers for an uplifting and comforting service, to Stan Lupton Funeral Directors for professional services, to Keli who provided the beautiful floral tribute to her grandfather and to Pipe Major, Craig Lang, for his excellent piping at the cemetery. Extended thanks to the Grey Gull for catering and hospitality, and finally, to all who paid their last respects at the church and graveside. The retiral collection raised over £600 for Erskine Care Home. MACMILLAN - John, Malina, Alison, George and families would like to thank everyone for flowers, cards, calls and kind messages of support on the sad loss of Fiona. A special lady, who will be dearly missed. Special thanks to doctors at Southend Surgery, district nurses and all staff at Campbeltown Hospital. Special thanks to Rev Fulcher for his kind words and uplifting service, to Nettie Semple, and to Kenny Blair for caring and professional services, which were much appreciated. Thanks also to Dunaverty Hall and Argyll Bakeries for a lovely tea. Finally, our thanks to all who attended church and graveside to pay their respects. NICOLL - Phyllis and family would like to thank friends, family and neighbours for all their cards, calls and messages of sympathy and support following the sad loss of Richard (Dick). Special thanks to Maggie, all of the community nurses, nursing assistants and carers who supported Dick in his last weeks and Stan Lupton and his colleagues for their compassionate, professional support to the family. Thanks also to all those who attended the funeral service at Dundee Crematorium and the commemorative gathering at Skipness Village Hall to pay their respects, with particular thanks to all of the volunteers who organised and supplied the lovely tea and beautiful flowers. The combined charity collection raised £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care. ROWAN - The family of the late John (Jackie) Rowan would like to thank everyone for cards, flowers and phone calls received on the sad loss of Jackie. Thanks also to staff of Argyll Homecare (especially John Davidson and Ellen Lang), Carr Gomm, Community nurses and Lois from Marie Curie nurses, for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Jackie.
