MCGRORY - The family of the late Sean McGrory would like to thank family, friends, neighbours and parishione­rs for the overwhelmi­ng love, support and caring shown to them in the loss of their beloved Sean. Special thanks to Fr Tony and Fr David for the beautiful and uplifting service, to Catherine Black for music and to Kenneth and Rhys Blair for the funeral arrangemen­ts, carried out with respect and dignity. Thanks to all who sent flowers, cards, food baskets etc, and to the Argyll Hotel for catering. Last, but by no means least, to the hundreds of friends and family, who came from far and wide to gather at the church and graveside, to give Sean an amazing send-off, love and thanks to you all. Special thanks to Ali, David, Allen and Iain (Soda), his good friends. The warmth and love you have shown will help give us the strength to go forward in the days ahead, God Bless you all. Money collected will be divided between the National Deaf Children’s Society and Diabetes UK (Kintyre Locality).

MILLAR - Irene, Carolyn, Alison and family would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expression­s of sympathy received on their sad loss of Bobby. Special thanks to Maggie Wilkieson, Campbeltow­n Community Nurses and Carr Gomm for their exceptiona­l care and compassion, which enabled Bobby to remain at home. Grateful thanks to Dr Norrie, Dr Lazarus and the staff of Campbeltow­n Hospital and Health Centre for their excellent care and attention to Bobby during his illness. Thanks to Rev Phillip Wallace for a very fitting service, to David McEwan for playing a selection of Bobby’s favourite music, to Kenny, Rhys and David Blair for caring and profession­al services, and to the Ardshiel Hotel for catering. Thanks to all who came from near and far to pay their respects. The retiral collection raised £3,200 for Macmillan Nurses, Kintyre Locality and the Community Nurses, Campbeltow­n.
