One Mid-Argyll restaurant which is getting into the swing and already taking early bookings is the Kilmartin Hotel which is regularly packed for its popular Friday fish nights.

Closer to home the Kintyre Club at the Ugadale is all ready to string up the streamers as the festive season looms in just two months time.

Just across the lawn in Machrihanish staff at the Clubhouse are getting ready for the party season rush and are already taking early bookings.

In town the Royal Hotel’s restaurant is a popular venue and can easily accommodate larger parties.

One certain mooring for a perfect Christmas party night will be Tarbert’s Anchor Hotel.

The award winning village restaurant at the side of Loch Fyne has five December dates available for special party bookings - 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th and 22nd.

As well as a three course menu of festive food with all the trimmings the special deal includes a glass of bubbly on arrival, half a bottle of wine per person and a live band till late.
