You’re never too old to have Hallowe’en fun

-

A GROUP of children from Riverside Rascals Day Nursery came to Ardfenaig Nursing Home for some spooky celebrations on Monday October 30.

Dressed up in an ar- range of costumes from Batman and Darth Vader to a fairy princess, the children learned about healthy eating and sang songs much to the delight of Ardfenaig residents.

Organised by the home’s activities coordinator Angela Selfridge, the children tried their hand at apple bobbing, before tucking into some tasty fruit including ‘boonanas’ and ‘frankenstein grapes’.

Angela, who organised the event to improve interaction between the generations, said: ‘We wanted to create an event where there could be a link between the generations of the residents and the nursery children. The residents really enjoy the company of the children, and it’s great to get the children on board with healthy eating.’

The nursery is hoping to return to Ardfenaig shortly before Christmas for some more enetertainment for the residents.
