Horrifying Hallowe’en event at Co-op raises charity cash

-

DEDICATED staff held a Hallowe’en bake sale and raffle in the draughty foyer of Lochgilphead’s Co-op supermarket.

As well as a tempting array of deliciously horrible cakes, there was a fantastic hamper available as the top prize in the raffle.

Bravely manning the stall under the guidance of store manager Callum Crawford were Rochelle McConnell, Victoria MacVicar, Anne Livingston and Mhairi MacVicar, ably assisted by Mhairi’s daughter Katie. The event, on Saturday October 28 raised £500 to be split between Cash for Kids and one of the charities that applied for community funding but were unsuccessful this time.
