It’s great to see the scaffolding coming down from buildings in Inveraray.
The CARS project was kickstarted by local people and the outcome – to the layman at least – is a much smarter outward appearance and, presumably, improved structure and roofing for these ancient properties.
Looking at them now, it can be hard to remember just how dog-eared and dilapidated many of the buildings had become. It hasn’t been easy, and the March completion deadline has been looming for a while, but the CARS outcome seems to be successful.
We would be pleased to hear from owners and tenants about their own experiences, though.
