Fyne Ales gets ready for biggest FyneFest ever!

-

Argyll brewery Fyne Ales have revealed that they are anticipating that this year’s FyneFest, their annual, family-friendly festival of beer, food and music, will be the biggest in the event’s nineyear history. This year’s festival, taking place at the Fyne Ales brewery estate near Cairndow from 1-3 June, will see almost 3,000 thirsty festival-goers visit scenic Glen Fyne to sample beers from the award-winning host brewery and over forty guest breweries from the UK and Europe. ‘The response to FyneFest 2018 has been incredible - we’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm for this year’s event,’ commented Fyne Ales MD, Jamie Delap. ‘We’ve increased capacity for this year’s festival to meet demand and we’re on course to sell out of tickets for the biggest FyneFest ever!’ Several changes have been implemented for the 2018 festival to allow for additional capacity, with a second campervan field available, a super-sized main marquee to house additional seating and dancefloor space, and more staff on hand to pour beer to excited festival attendees. Over 30 guest breweries are already confirmed for FyneFest 2018, with the best of UK brewing set to be showcased at the Argyll event - among the familiar faces including Cloudwater, Magic Rock, Beavertown and Fierce Beer, there are several festival debutants including South coast breweries, Vibrant Forest and Unity, Scotland’s Top Out and Natural Selection breweries and Burnt Mill, recently named the UK’s best new brewery by popular beer tracking website, Ratebeer. ‘It’s important to mix up the brewery list each year - not only so festival-goers get to try new beers, but also to give young breweries a platform to reach new people,’ offered Iain Smith, FyneFest beer curator. ‘Of course, Fyne Ales will have a few new and special releases on offer too!’ FyneFest, runner-up for Best Outdoor Festival at the 2017 SOLA awards, also offers kids activities, tours, talks, tastings, Glen Fyne walks and food from twelve street-food vendors including Loch Fyne Oysters. A full weekend of live music designed to get festival attendees on their feet and dancing is headlined by Glasgow’s Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 and Brighton’s Holy Moly & The Crackers. Tickets for FyneFest 2018, including discount tickets for those local to the brewery, are on sale now and selling fast.
