Rave Legends to Headline MOK Fest 2018

The 26th Mull of Kintyre Music Festival or MOK Fest as it is more commonly known runs from August 8th – 12th. The Saturday night concerts on Aug 11th promise something for everyone. The MOK Fest welcomes the return of rave legends The Time Frequency (TTF) headlining the Victoria Hall all standing concert with DJ Rankin and Gullion also performing. The Traditiona­l concert the same night in Campbeltow­n Heritage Centre will headline with Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham who will be supported by young four piece folk band Helca. The Grouse Ceilidh Band is guaranteed to get everyone dancing at the Festival Ceilidh Night on Aug 10th Campbeltow­n band Rhuvaal along with The Dalriada Connection­s Band will also perform with Kintyre Schools Pipe Band getting the night started in their usual rousing style. The Mitchell’s Glengyle Dalriada Connection­s concert on Aug 12th will have another great line-up with Eddie Seaman and Luc McNally who will be joined by Darren MacLean, Western Sound, Ciaran Mulholland and Scooter Muse, don’t forget to pick up your free sponsors whisky miniature at the door. The Festival Gaelic Night on Aug 8th features Kim Carnie and Innes White plus many more and the Young Folk Night on Aug 9th promises another great selection of young performers from across Kintyre. The Festival ends on Aug 12th with Survivors Night which sees the return of Slainte Davaar Allstars to headline plus the debut of Deep Under Gullion. Also performing will be Alex & Archie McAllister, Gilchristi­ans plus a few special surprise acts across the night.
