A Fyne display of art in Minard

-

MINARD Village Hall is set to host a fabulous two days of art.

Over the weekend of Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13, an exhibition will showcase the work of members of the Argyll Fyne Art Group.

The group was delighted to receive a micro grant from the A’ Chruach Community Fund earlier this year in the sum of £500.

The grant funded three tutor-led sessions, including hall hire. This two-day exhibition is being held in appreciation of the grant and in support of the village hall.

Argyll Fyne Art Group meets every second Wednesday from 10am to 4pm to practice a variety of media and techniques.

The group invites a variety of tutors to give expert advice during each season. Newcomers, with or without previous experience, are welcome to join members, who work in watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink, and coloured pencils and in a variety of styles, including landscape, abstract, still-life and portraiture.

If you are interested in joining this small friendly group, please contact Ann Dodd on 01546 886680.

Encourage

A spokesperson for the Community Trust Fund said: ‘We are very keen to encourage more activities in our area, and Minard Village Hall offers good facilities and parking at a very reasonable cost.’

Admission to the exhibition is free, and it will be open between 10am and 4pm both days.
