Bringing Argyll to the world
Social media campaign aims to showcase Argyll in all its glory
We all know that Argyll is special don’t we? But why? What are the ingredients to the secret sauce that makes Argyll one of the best places to live or visit in Scotland?
We asked you to show and tell – you didn’t let us down! Last week we joined forces with the Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative to launch the inspirational #myargyll campaign. We asked YOU to show us and tell us what Argyll means to you. And, boy, did you respond. Hundreds of your photos and videos have appeared on our social wall at www.myargyll.co.uk and they are truly inspirational. Keep them coming! To participate, simply tag your photos, videos, poetry or prose on Twitter, YouTube or Instagram #myargyll. Remember to ensure your privacy settings are set to public to enable sharing. We will also be showcasing selected entries in our newspapers, magazines and websites throughout the year. What makes a place special is often the most personal of things. It doesn’t have to be sunset over Oban bay – it might be walking your dog on the beach, a plate of langoustines, sipping a cold beer in your local pub or a day out with the family – it is your memory or special moment that counts. Go on, share it with the world. Your chance to win a once in a lifetime prize While it is wonderful to show the world why Argyll is THE place to be, wouldn’t it be nice if you had the chance to win a fantastic prize? Well, why not take the next step and enter your content into our #myargyll competition? Once you have shared your content via social media, visit www.myargyll.co.uk/ competition, follow the instructions and upload your content. All entries will then be judged by an independent panel of experts and a winner will be announced later in the summer. The closing date for entries is Monday June 11, 2018, so don’t delay.
