Alleged possession of cannabis
Around 9.15pm on Thursday May 3, in Campbeltown Road, Tarbert, a man (30) allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. The man was arrested and allegedly found in possession of cannabis. He was charged and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Arrest on warrant and drug search
At around 7.40pm on Saturday May 5, a 30-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at a house in Lochgilphead. The house was then searched by police and the man was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine and cannabis. The man was charged, held for court and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Failing to stop for police
At around 11.20pm on Sunday May 6, on Kilmory Road, Lochgilphead, a black Ford Fiesta car allegedly failed to stop for police.
The vehicle was eventually stopped and the driver of the vehicle, a man aged 20, was allegedly under the influence of drugs and in possession of cannabis. Checks revealed the man allegedly had no licence or insurance. The car was seized and the man was arrested, charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Vehicle damaged at Loch Fyne
Around 4.50pm on Saturday April 28, in the car park at Loch Fyne Oyster bar, Cairndow, a grey Vauxhall Corsa car was damaged by a black Vauxhall Astra car which collided with the Corsa and damaged the bumper.
The driver of the Astra allegedly failed to stop and report the collision. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Abusive behaviour
In Glenfyne Park, Ardrishaig, at around 9.15pm on Tuesday May 1, a 46-year-old man allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. The man was arrested, charged and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Failed to stop
A white van was allegedly driven carelessly causing it to collide with the wing mirror of a black Toyota Rav4 at around 4.15pm on Wednesday May 2, on the A819 near Inveraray. The van allegedly failed to stop and give details. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Penalty notice
On Sunday May 6, at around 8.40pm in Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead, a 36-year-old man was issued with a £40 fixed penalty notice for allegedly urinating in a public place.
Driving using phone
On Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead, at around 5.55pm on Saturday May 5 police stopped a car as the driver, a man aged 47, was allegedly driving while using his mobile phone. The man was charged and a £200 fixed penalty ticket with six penalty points was issued.
Dangerous driving
On Tuesday May 1 at around 10am, a silver Vauxhall van was reported to be driven in a dangerous manner while carrying out an overtake manoeuvre on the A83 near Inveraray.
Police are investigating the incident which was captured on a dash cam.
