From Friday September 7 to Sunday September 9 the gates to Inveraray Castle will be open for the iconic Best of the West Festival.

In its eighth year, Best of the West is arguably Scotland’s finest boutique festival, where music and food lovers travel from across the globe to experience the very best in Scottish music, food and drink.

Festival coaches will run each day from Glasgow, Dumbarton, Tarbet, Arrochar, Oban, Connel, Taynuilt, Loch Awe, Dalmally, Tarbert, Ardrishaig, Lochgilphe­ad, Furnace and Dunoon.

Forget the parking and accommodat­ion hassle, purchase a 2018 coach and festival ticket and you can relax in the knowledge that the your journey has had the minimal impact on the enviroment.

If you are a fan of Scottish music then you’re in for a treat at BOWFest. With performanc­es from the likes of Tide Lines, Seven Nations, Heron Valley, The Camans, Rhuvaal, Gnoss, Katie and Abi, Bar None Community Choir and Skipinnish to name a few, there is something for everyone. Foodies will be happy to know that they can get tucked into Argyll’s best local produce. There is plenty of delicious food and drink to choose from, thanks to the award winning Food from Argyll group and many more.

Have you decided to take the bus and are now ready for a drink or three? Inveraray’s George Hotel will be providing different types of beer, as well as a unique cocktail bar.

There will also be many different spirits on offer at the Loch Fyne Whisky marquee, with products from famous distilleri­es from across Scotland.

The Business Gateway marquee will also showcase art and craft from a few of the most talented artists on the west coast.

There will also be a number of unique stalls at BOWFest, selling products you won’t find anywhere else.
