I never fail to be inspired by the sheer beauty of the landscape ” Iain Jurgensen General manager Portavadie

Two weeks ago we asked you the question: What are the ingredients to the secret sauce that makes Argyll one of the best places to live or visit in Scotland?

We asked you to show us and tell us why Argyll is so special by sending us your pictures, your videos and your stories. Working in conjunction with AITC, we figured we would get a decent response. No-one could have imagined how things have taken off. Hundreds and hundreds of your photos, videos and stories have appeared on our social wall at www. myargyll.co.uk with dozens more added every day. We have been overwhelmed by the response. You really are proud of Argyll and we are more than happy to keep showcasing your content – so keep it coming. To participate, simply tag your photos, videos, poetry or prose on Twitter, YouTube or Instagram #myargyll. Remember to ensure your privacy settings are set to public to enable sharing. We will also be showcasing selected entries in our newspapers, magazines and websites throughout the year. Your chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize While it is wonderful to show the world why Argyll is THE place to be, wouldn’t it be nice if you had the chance to win a fantastic prize? Well, why not take the next step and enter your content into our #myargyll competition? Once you have shared your content via social media, visit www.myargyll.co.uk/ competition, follow the instructions and upload your content. All entries will then be judged by an independent panel of experts and a winner will be announced later in the summer. The closing date for entries is Monday June 11, 2018, so don’t delay.
