Yu Wu chef de­liv­ers top city class food

Yu Wu Chi­nese Restau­rant proudly presents a new chef bring­ing city class din­ing to Oban

The pop­u­lar restau­rant en­joy­ing its prime wa­ter­front lo­ca­tion, close to the rail­way and Sta­tion Square for buses and taxis, has also got new own­ers to boast of – with 25 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence to sat­isfy the big­gest ap­petite of reg­u­lar and first-time cus­tomers ex­pect­ing the best food and ser­vice.

Only the fresh­est of in­gre­di­ents are used by the chef who has worked in some of Glas­gow’s top chi­nese restaurants, owned by his fam­ily.

Whether it’s seafood brought in daily to Oban’s shores or lo­cally-sourced meats, qual­ity is key in the kitchen.

New spe­cials will be in­tro­duced ev­ery two weeks and be dis­played up on a se­lec­tion board for din­ers to see as they walk in to the classy es­tab­lish­ment, well lit with cut glass lights, open din­ing ar­eas and wooden booths for those more private or ro­man­tic oc­ca­sions – the booths can be booked in ad­vance.

The menu with de­li­cious ap­pe­tis­ers from bar­be­cued spare ribs to Isle of Mull scal­lops has some­thing to of­fer all the fam­ily.

Noo­dles and rice, veg­etable dishes that can be cooked in a va­ri­ety of sauces or styles, house favourite cur­ries in­clud­ing sliced duck, wok fried sa­tays and then a choice of clas­sic cooked dishes such as sir­loin steak with chips and gravy means ev­ery­one will be happy at the table.

There is a spe­cial lunch of­fer run­ning at the mo­ment, 10 per cent off be­tween noon and 2pm, Mon­day to Satur­day.

And Yu Wu can even bring its great taste right to your door, of­fer­ing a fresh and fast de­liv­ery ser­vice in spe­cially tem­per­a­ture con­trolled bags, keep­ing it pip­ing hot.

The home de­liv­ery hot­line on 01631 563338 is avail­able Mon­day to Thurs­day from 5pm to 10pm and then Fri­day to Sun­day from 5pm to 11pm.

Out­side ca­ter­ing for par­ties and spe­cial oc­ca­sions can also be booked which makes ca­ter­ing for im­por­tant events prob­lem-free, tak­ing the stress away.

The new own­ers in­vited fam­ily and friends from all over Scot­land to a tast­ing night to make sure all the dishes on of­fer are the best they can be – and that in­cludes the plate pre­sen­ta­tion and wel­come from the fully trained staff where ser­vice re­ally does come with a smile.
