Miller’s Online Market gets real

- Laura Maxwell editor@argyllshireadvertiser.co.uk

The debut of local entrepreneur Liz Miller’s pop-up shop took place on Saturday July 7 to great enthusiasm.

Based on an innovative idea, of selling other people’s unwanted items for commission, the shop displayed the wares already collected for what’s being called ‘Lochgilphead’s eBay’.

Lochgilphead Parish Church hall was lined with racks of clothes, including evening wear, rows of shoes that would make Carrie Bradshaw blush and odds and ends, including golf and angling equipment and even an accordion.

Liz said: ‘The shop is just for today but if it works I’m more than willing to do it again.’

Working out of her Facebook page found at Miller’s Online Market, Liz will take anything from works of art, to vehicle parts and sell them on eBay, at auction houses or anywhere suitable.

Liz added: ‘It doesn’t matter how old the item is as long as it is in good condition. I will do everything that I can to sell the item and at the highest value.’

If perhaps you’re looking for something, you can also check Liz’s website, mom. scot, to view a catalogue of the items not yet sold.
