Cairndow Gun Club shoot results

Thanks were given to the 42 guns that took part in the shoot on Saturday September 15 and especially all the teams that took part in the competition for the Argyll and non-Argyll Team trophies.

Six teams competed for the Argyll trophy which was won by Team Hopeful, made up of N McFarlane, G Shankland, J Gilchrist, J Weir and R Jenkins on a score of 563.

The runners up were: The Glen: 556; Team Lorn: 542; The Intimidators: 541; Bute/ Colintraive: 516; Team Tarbet: 475; Watt’s Wonders, including B Watt, B Hutchison, A McGarva, S MacDonough and I Dawson, won the Non-Argyll trophy on a score of 544 with Team Cairndow coming second on 462.

High Gun of the day was John Gilchrist on a score of 149/150; 2 Ross Speirs – 148; 3 Andy MacDonald and Colin Rowan – 146; 5 Bryan Hutchison 145; 6 Gordon Shankland & Derek Street – 141; 8 Donnie MacPhail – 140; 9 Nick McFarlane, Richard Deane, Gordon Griffiths – 139. The next shoot on Saturday October 20 is the re-scheduled Annual Trophy Shoot.
