Lay the window trimmings for Remembrance Sunday
The Lochgilphead Armed Forces Day committee is asking Lochgilphead shop owners to decorate their windows for this year’s Poppy Fortnight, in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday on November 11.
This year’s event will honour the 100 years since the end of the first World War with a parade that will start at 10.50am at the Lochgilphead Parish Church and finish at the Front Green.
Betty Rhodick of the Community Council said: ‘We would like the town to do something special and we felt that decorating of windows would support this.
‘We thank you in advance for your support.’
Refreshments will be offered after the parade, to everyone involved, in Lochgilphead Parish Church.
