Scholarships at Strathallan

At Strathallan our mission is to provide an outstanding education that gives opportunities for all pupils to excel and perform to the very best of their abilities. Consequently, our pupils achieve brilliant things. They excel academically, compete in sports at national and international levels, succeed in scholastic championships, perform on national stages and play as part of nationwide orchestras and ensembles. Many pupils at Strathallan benefit from our scholarship provision; A scholarship is an award for excellence in academic study, the arts or sport. Strathallan offer scholarships in Academic, Music and Sport for entry to the Riley Junior School with the addition of Art, Piping and Performing Arts for Year 9 entry. All are decided on the pupil’s ability in their chosen area. The process of applying for a scholarship begins with a registration via the website, assessments take place for entry to Riley Junior School in January 2019 and for Year 9 in February 2019. Scholarships are awarded in March for benefit in the Autumn term. Applications close on Wednesday 16th January for 9-12 year olds and Friday 15th February for Year 9 scholarship assessments. Previous academic scholars at Strathallan have gone on study at some of the top universities in the UK and around the world. Several of our scholars have represented Scotland and GB in 15 sports including Rugby, Swimming, Hockey and Skiing. Strathallan Music scholars have taken up places at reputable music and performing arts colleges such as BMI. More than a fee remission, scholarships at Strathallan provide pupils with a springboard to a future in their chosen area and a confidence to pursue their aspirations.
