Hare coursing

A silver Land Rover Discovery was found on farm land near Bridgend, Lochgilphe­ad, with a dog coursing for hares, at 6pm on Sunday February 24.

Abusive behaviour

Following a report of a man behaving in an abusive manner in Oakhill, Tarbert, a 31-year-old man was traced, arrested and charged with abusive behaviour at 9am on Monday February 25. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Vehicle damage

A rear door of a parked grey Volvo V40 was badly dented by another vehicle which failed to stop and report the incident sometime between 6pm on Monday February 25 and 8am on Tuesday February 26, at Kilmory Industrial Estate, Lochgilphe­ad. Police are investigat­ing.

No seat belt

Police stopped a car on the A83 near Furnace at noon on Tuesday February 26 as the passenger, a man aged 26, was not wearing his seat belt.

The man was charged and issued with a £100 fixed penalty ticket.

Man had drugs

A car was stopped on the A83 at Lochgilphe­ad and searched by police at 10pm on Tuesday February 26.

A man, aged 40, was found to be in possession of cannabis. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Speeding

A 56-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were caught speeding on the A83 at Lochgilphe­ad on Wednesday February 27.

The drivers were issued with £100 fixed penalty tickets and three penalty points.

Arrested

An 18-year-old woman was arrested for behaving in an abusive manner in Lochnell Street, Lochgilphe­ad, at 2pm on Wednesday February 27.

The woman was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Animal welfare

Following a report of someone behaving in an abusive manner and throwing a dog against a wall, a 19-year-old man was charged with abusive behaviour and an offence under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 at 9pm on Saturday March 2. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
