Have you got the MOJO?

-

Calling all Argyll original musicians: MOJO is now open for any bands or acts (solo and duo) interested in playing at the unique festival on October 19 at Craignish Village Hall, Ardfern.

Could this be you?

MOJO is open to any style or genre of music, from country to punk, funk to blues, pop and rock and everything in between.

You could be playing alongside like-minded musicians to an appreciative audience on a great stage. MOJO will supply excellent sound and effect management and a licensed bar, including specially selected bottled ales at hand for thirst-aid.

Started in 2017, MOJO’s main mission is to get Argyll’s local musicians heard and to encourage new talent – and have a great time doing it.

MOJO is a non-charitable, non-profit and non-funded volunteer-run event. All proceeds from the bar and ticket sales are split evenly between acts (after show costs) and MOJO encourages musicians to help sell tickets and their own merchandise. Throughout it all, MOJO has an ongoing Facebook support page and exclusive press coverage helping you just to get out there a little bit more.

Interested?

To qualify, you only have to be completely original in your music, no covers, 18 years old or over, reside in or have strong links to Argyll, be able to do at least 30 minutes of material and can supply MOJO with a short description of your work and demo via SoundCloud, YouTube or EP. The closing date for all entries is Friday June 21, after which all acts will be judged and chosen by all the volunteers at MOJO to give us what we think would be a great mix for the night.

MOJO is happy to accept applications from previous MOJO-players with all new material. Contact Brian at the MOJO Facebook page @ MOJOArgyll or Dan on 01546 602429 (evenings) for more information to send demos. Let’s get your MOJO moving.
