Badden Farm Nursery
As can be seen from our lovely photograph, Badden Farm Nursery are strong advocates for all outdoor activities. The nursery is now a 50/50 indoor/ outdoor nursery offering the children the full Forest Schools experience within our lovely wooded area where the children love to explore and develop their own independency skills and learn first-hand to assess safe risk taking and consideration for others. Fully commissioned for ELC education, our trained and highly professional staff team have created a warm, welcoming and safe environment for the children to enjoy stimulating learning experiences through their play.
We feel we have admirably risen to the challenge of the increased ELC hours for the children in our care, with carefully planning our day to day activities to ensure all the children’s needs and the needs of our families being met in full. The nursery also has four lovely donkeys on site which are hugely popular with children and parents alike. We also have chickens and one of the activities the ELC room enjoys every year is having an incubator in their playroom and watching the hen eggs hatch. The children particularly enjoyed having four orphaned lambs to raise at the nursery last spring and two calves. The children were very involved in the feeding routines and when the lambs/sheep were returned to the local farm the children had a lovely visit to check on their progress.
We pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with our parents and grandparents, and we are always delighted with the support our families offer us with all our events and endeavours. From being finalists in the Scotland-wide ‘Nursery of the Year Competition’ to working hand in hand with all, the nursery offers parents a very special and highly individual learning environment of which we are very proud.
We would be delighted to welcome parents and families to come and see for themselves our very special and unique setting. Please call Jennifer or Jean on 01546 600072 Or email baddenfarm@ btconnect.com
