Disqualified driver and drugs
At about 8pm on Monday July 6 at Glenburn Road, Ardrishaig, a vehicle was stopped and the driver, a man aged 30, searched and allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine, driving whilst disqualified from holding a licence and without insurance. He was arrested, cautioned and charged with the offences and a report submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Cocaine found
A vehicle was stopped by police around 8pm on Monday July 6 at Chalmers Street, Ardrishaig and the 25-year-old driver searched. He was cautioned and charged after allegedly being found to be in possession of cocaine. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Scottish Water site damage
Between midnight on Tuesday June 30 and 3.30pm on Monday July 6 at the Scottish Water site, Quarry Park, Furnace, damage was caused to trees, fencing and the cabling cabinet.
Possession of cannabis
About 3pm on Wednesday July 8, police searched a house at Knapdale Terrace, Ardrishaig, where a man aged 41 was allegedly found in possession of cannabis. The man was cautioned and charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Theft of mobile phone
Police are investigating the theft of a silver/ grey iPhone in a camouflage case which occurred at around 4.30pm on Thursday July 9 on Front Street near Inveraray Pier.
No insurance – vehicle seizure
After a van was stopped by police on Garvel Road, Tarbert for a routine check at about 9.45pm on Tuesday July 7, checks revealed that there was no insurance in force for the vehicle. The driver, a man aged 23, was charged with the offence and the vehicle was seized. He was issued with a £300 fixed penalty ticket and six penalty points.
Abusive behaviour
About 3am on Saturday July 11 at Baddens Park, Lochgilphead, a 21-year-old man allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. Police attended and arrested and charged the man who was held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Recorded warning
A 27-year-old woman was searched by police at Riverside Drive, Lochgilphead at about 3pm on Sunday July 12. After she was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis, she was cautioned, charged and issued with a recorded police warning.
Alcohol stolen
At some time between Sunday March 1 and midnight on Friday July 3, a quantity of alcohol was stolen from within a caravan at the Port Ban Caravan Park, Kilberry. Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Theft of tyres
Between 11am and 5.30pm on Saturday July 11, outside a garage near Ellary Road, Ormsary, two new tyres were stolen. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
