A driver has been charged with speeding on Tarbert Road, Ardrishaig.

The 33-year-old man was stopped by police at 10.25am on Friday July 31. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Police stopped a car for allegedly speeding on the A83 near Lochgilphe­ad Joint Campus at 11.30am on Saturday August 1.

The 50-year-old male driver was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

At 5.30pm on Saturday August 1, on the A816 near the Ardfern junction, Lochgilphe­ad, a motorist, aged 21, was stopped and charged with speeding. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

A car crashed off the road and overturned on the B8024 near Achahoish, Lochgilphe­ad, during the early hours of Sunday August 2.

The 17-year-old male driver was charged with taking the vehicle without the consent of the owner, having no licence or insurance and careless driving. The three occupants suffered minor injuries. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Police have launched an investigat­ion after a house in Brodie Crescent, Lochgilphe­ad, was broken into some time between 11am and 1pm on Sunday August 2.

Items were stolen and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with informatio­n to contact them on 101 or anonymousl­y through Crimestopp­ers on 0800 555111.

A man, aged 33, was charged and issued with a recordable police warning for possessing cannabis after a car was stopped at 5.20pm on Sunday August 2 on the A83 at Lochgilphe­ad.
