Over the past 42 years Backwoodsman has been supplying stoves and chimneys to customers all over Argyll, Lochaber and the Inner and Outer Isles.

Back in 1977 Andrew McIntyre founded the stove business in a spare bedroom in the family home. Backwoodsman has since grown up into a large industrial premises situated on the edge of Barcaldine forest and the company continues to be family run to this day.

We recognise that buying a stove can be a confusing and daunting experience so you will want to feel confident that you are making a good decision based on sound advice. Our many years in the stove industry gives us the knowledge and experience to guide you through the process. Backed by the high quality of Charnwood, Woodwarm and Morsø stoves and their excellent customer service, we are able to offer stoves in a wide range of styles, prices and output sizes.

An awareness of the regulations and good practice is also important so you know your stove is safe, compliant and efficient. We offer a high level of technical expertise working with both residential and commercial projects.
