Family entertainment favourites Funbox say farewell with final Campbeltown show

-

After seven years of putting smiles on the faces of adults and children alike, family entertainment favourites Funbox have announced their final show at Victoria Hall on Friday 1st July, 5pm, as they embark on their last ever string of dates.

Formerly of The Singing Kettle, Kevin, Anya, and former musical partner Gary Coupland created Funbox after the end of the iconic children’s entertainment act in 2015. Balancing traditional singalong songs and brand new compositions with a distinctly Scottish flavour, over the years Funbox have developed their own unique brand of modern manic humour and organised chaos that fans love.

The much-loved trio of Kevin Macleod, Anya Scott-Rodgers and Bonzo the Dog have delighted thousands of children and their families across the country since they first took to the stage in 2015. Sadly, due to the strains of the pandemic 2022 will see Funbox hit the road one last time - and they plan to go out with a bang.

Anya Scott-Rodgers said: “Funbox has been an incredible part of our lives, and visiting Campbeltown was always a highlight. All good things must come to an end, and we’re planning to go out on a high. We can’t wait to perform at Victoria Hall one final time and say a fond farewell to our loyal audience.”

Kevin Macleod added: “Seven years have come and gone in the blink of an eye and we still can’t believe how lucky we’ve been to call this our job. We’re looking forward to welcoming audiences to Victoria Hall to sing with us for one last big Funbox hoolie!”

Its time to slip on your spandex, clip on your capes and head up, up and away with FUNBOX as they swoop in to the Victoria Hall on Friday 1st July for the final time to discover the secrets of HOW TO BE A SUPERHERO!

Join Anya, Kevin and Bonzo the Dog (formerly of The Singing Kettle) on their super quest to open the locks and become the best heroes they can. But what are the super secrets? Is super smell a proper power? And how do we get our keys to open the Funbox?

This super singalong smash has with family favourites like “Bear Hunt” and “Leapfrog” and exciting new songs for kids of all ages to enjoy - from nought to ninety!

Come dressed as a Superhero to join in the fun! Pants over trousers encouraged but not mandatory.
