‘Pick mix fix’ appeal aims to plug funds gap at centre

-

THE Ashbourne Animal Welfare Society has devised a new sponsorship scheme, which has been launched to give people another way to help the rescue and rehoming centre continue its great work.

To plug some of the gap left by the centre not being able to hold the fund-raising activities it usually relies on the charity invented a “Pick Mix Fix” appeal, which gives supporters the chance to sponsor specific, inexpensive items its cats and dogs need.

The new scheme means people can help the rescue and rehoming centre by covering the costs of toys, treats, or even veterinary care for its residents - and the price of these items start at just £1.

A form listing all the items the society needs help buying can be found on the events section of its website, and these also include collars, leads, beds, cat-scratch posts or play equipment.
