Outdoor keep fit classes back this weekend

-

OUTDOOR fitness classes are bouncing back into Ashbourne from this week.

The Derbyshire Dales District Council-run classes on the Recreation Ground, next to the cricket pavilion, were put on hold during the coronavirus lockdown.

Each class will be restricted to six participants, with strict two-metre social distancing observed. There is a 45-minute cardio, tone and strengthen class at 9.30am, followed by a buggy tone and tighten class at 10.30.

Janet Chadfield from the sports development team said: “We’ve been doing virtual video workouts throughout the lockdown but it will be great to welcome back our regulars in person.

“Both classes are designed with a mix of exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness along with toning and strengthening exercises for all the body’s main muscle groups.”

Each class will have a different instructor and it is essential that people book in advance by email to sportsdevelopment@ derbyshiredales.gov.uk
