AN Ashbourne property firm has started work on what will become a new landmark commercial development on the outskirts of Ashbourne.

Family-run PMW Property hopes to finish a new mini business park, which will back on to the Airfield Industrial Estate, by December.

The cluster of commercial buildings, which will include a new base for PMW Property, will sit alongside Derby Road and also include a large steelframed building available for rent.

Included in the plans are three steel-framed buildings, two of which will be occupied by PMW Property, along with 20 parking spaces. Three of the spaces will be fitted with chargers for electric vehicles.

PMW Property, currently based in the Airfield Industrial Estate, is run by Mike Wrigley, his son Matthew Wrigley and daughter Victoria Wrigley, who have been working from the town for 30 years.

Their growing property portfolio includes residential and commer- cial buildings, and is spread throughout the Midlands.

However, their latest project once again brings them closer to home. Matthew Wrigley said: “PMW Property, as a local Ashbourne family-run business, is pleased to be starting the construction process on site for our new headquarters.

“The project consists of three buildings, two of which will be our new headquarters and the third building measuring 5,000ft² is going to be marketed to interested parties.

“The site is in a fantastic location just off the A52, an ideal position for a variety of businesses.

“The project has been a while in the making as we have been looking for the perfect site for our new premises for the expanding business.

“When the planning permission was granted we were excited that we could now start the build of our new headquarters that will be in the proximity of Ashbourne town centre.

“The PMW Property team are now looking forward to the completion of the project.”
