Green in form for cup win

Green were big winners when the first round of the Ashbourne Town Darts League Divisional Cups was held.

They were at home to Memorial Arms in the Division One matches and saw them off 8-1.

Shaun Salt hit six registers, Alex Titterton had five and Sam Jones had a 91 double start for the winners.

Harrison Mcmullen scored five registers, including a 102 double start and a 115 finish, and John Matkin scored five, including a 180, for The Bullets in a 6-3 win away to The Rams.

Paul Barlow scored seven registers and Steve Woolliscro­ft and Rich West both hit five for the hosts.

Mayfield C were at home to The Cricketers and won 5-4 on the final doubles.

Nathan Garside scored eight registers, including a 108 double start, Gav Ratcliffe scored six and had a 93 finish and Iain Conway hit a 180 for Mayfield.

John Ford Jr scored five registers and Andy Macdonald had a 92 double start for The Cricketers.

Steve Millward hit six registers and had a 14-dart leg and Julian Burton hit an 81 double start for X-men in their 5-4 home win over Smith’s Tavern.

Mark Pickup hit four registers and Damian Jones had finishes of 98 and 96 for the Tavern.

In the Division Two cup matches Big Hitters won 7-2 at home to Hanging Bridge, with Aaron Robinson having a 19-dart singles.

Red Lion, away to The

Pav went through 7-2.

Crown Inn were beaten 6-3 at home by Yew Tree with Martin Sheard hitting three registers, including a 105 double start and Chris Bates added three.

Mike Brett scored four registers for the Crown.

Holly Bush won 6-3 away to SO Compton.
