Sycamore edge further in front

SYCAMORE stretched their lead at the top of Ashbourne Town Darts League to three points with an 8-1 away win against BGB.

Paul Williams scored seven registers, including a 120 double start, Jonathan Edge hit seven,including a 103 double start and Robin Penfold also had seven registers, with legs of 15 and 18 darts in his singles, while Tom Fentem hit a 115 finish.

Dave Spencer scored six registers, including a

100 double start, and Rich Goodall had five for BGB.

Chris Needham scored a monster 11 registers for second-placed Mayfield Arms but they were pegged back for a relatively modest 6-3 win over Mayfield C.

Rob Smith had a 100 double start and both Dave Needham and Steve Mellor hit a 180 for the Arms, while Gav Ratcliffe had a 16-dart leg for the C team.

Smith’s Tavern travelled to Rose and Crown and had a 6-3 win.

Damian Jones scored five registers and Ian Ford hit a 122 double start for them, while Jason Glanville scored seven registers for the hosts.

Memorial Arms won the last doubles to nick a 5-4 home win over The Rams.

Dave Moss scored six registers and Callum Pattinson hit a 70 finish for the Arms, while Paul Barlow scored eight registers, including 117 and 112 finishes, an 80 double start and an 18-dart leg for The Rams.

Bowling Green won 5-4 away to X-men on the final doubles.

Shaun Salt hit seven registers and Callum Rowland had a 19-dart leg for the winners.

Tyler Burton scored five registers, Julian Burton had a 90 finish and Steve Millward a 75 finish and an 18-dart leg for X-men.

The Bullets won the final doubles for a 5-4 away win against The Cricketers.

Harrison Mcmullen scored five registers for The Bullets.

In the battle of the top two in Division Two, leaders The Wheel won 5-4 away to Big Hitters with Luke Harrison scoring three registers and Erik Curley having a 180.

Aaron Robinson had three registers for Big Hitters.

Ian Redfern and Ryan Mcintyre both hit three registers, Chris Roworth had a 59 double start and Richard Forrester had a 73 finish as Holly Bush won

9-0 at home against SO Compton.

Hanging Bridge won 6-3 at home to The Pav, for whom Marcus Lumbard scored three registers and Harry Zona had a 93 double start.

Ex-servicemen’s Club won 7-2 away to White Swan, for whom Ben Bradshaw scored three registers, including a 146 double star.

Paul Haddock hit a 180 and Ryan Austin an 87 double start in Red Lion’s 5-4 win away to Crown Inn.

Tom Bramley hit four registers and Chris Bates had a 120 double start as Yew Tree, at home to Royal Oak, won 5-4 on the final doubles.
