Facebook to Launch Innovation Hub in China
Global social network giant Facebook has announced that it will be launching a new innovation hub in China that will be used to support local startups and developers.
The move to bolster the Company’s presence in the market is being taken despite the current restrictions that block the vast majority of social media sites from operating within the country.
The innovation hub will be launched under the Chinese subsidiary of Facebook in Hangzhou – the home of ecommerce giant Alibaba.
The US firm has unveiled similar facilities in India and Korea, alongside a host of European countries, with each of these focused on offering training and workshops in the aim of enhancing global digital skillsets.
