SK Telecom, South Korea’s leading telecommunications enterprise, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) to develop 5G autonomous vehicle infrastructure.
The plans for this include the proposed installation of both ADAS and 5G communications technologies in public transport vehicles and government cars in the region.
“We will work closely with the
IFEZ Authority to accelerate IFEZ’s transition to a smart city powered by SK Telecom’s 5G network and mobility technologies,” said Park Jin-hyo, SK Telecom’s Chief Technology Officer.
The agreement will also aim to accelerate the development of information and communications technology startups in the city of Incheon, located in the northwest of the country.
The Th news comes from a term sheet seen by Reuters which cited that the prospective pros initial public offering could be ththe world’s largest education IPO once complete. The minimum that the company is expected to raise is $5544 million, a figure that would still surpass su the $490 million float of Laureate re Education on Nasdaq in 2017. It iis reported that the company is selling 435.8 million primary shares, equating to 20 pepercent of its enlarged capital.
