More than 30 events lined up for Staffs Day 2024
MORE than 30 events lined up to help celebrate the 9th annual Staffordshire Day start next week including tasty treats in Tamworth.
This year’s bumper celebration starts on Wednesday, May 1 and runs right the way through to Monday, May 6, Bank Holiday Monday.
Locally, the Dine ‘n’ Devour food festival at Tamworth Castle Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, will showcase the best British produce.
Drayton Manor will bring spectacular fireworks, live music, late rides and more to the celebrations on May 5.
The National Memorial Arboretum will host ‘The Year was 1944’ from May 4 to 5 with live music, dance workshops, and children’s crafts and games.
Philip White, deputy leader at Staffordshire County Council and interim chair of Staffordshire Local Visitor Economy Partnership, said: “With less than a week now to go until Staffordshire Day, the excitement is really starting to ramp up.
“It’s an important and proud day for everyone living in Staffordshire when we tell the world what a great place it is.
“There’s already over 30 events listed for the day and over the Bank Holiday weekend and more being added every day.
“There will be an event for everyone so whether it’s a food and drink festival, vintage fayre, arts market or a themed walk in our captivating countryside, please get the date in your diary.”
