Electric I-pace race series to support Formula E from 2018
Jaguar will launch the I-pace etrophy race series, the first Fia-backed production battery electric vehicle race series.
Featuring modified race versions of the upcoming electric I-pace SUV, it will be the support series for the FIA Formula E championship, starting in late 2018.
With up to 20 I-pace race cars on the grid, Jaguar said the move would give future Formula E stars the chance to race. It will also help promote the I-pace, which is Jaguar’s first electric car. Jaguar entered the Formula E series in 2016.
