LIGHTING expert Nightsearcher has moved into the automotive world with a new range of products. The four-strong line-up provides an array of solutions for several situations.
The range kicks off with the Star Buddy, at £12.75. This compact worklight offers a 180-lumen light output as well as an 80-lumen inspection torch. Its flashing red lights make it an emergency beacon, too, aided by its magnetic base.
For a few pounds more, the £15.95 Lifeguard adds a brighter floodlight and two essential safety features – a window-breaking hammer point and a seatbelt cutter. Both the Lifeguard and Star Buddy are powered by AAA batteries, and are perfect to keep in a glovebox or door pocket for emergencies.
With a brighter light and, critically, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the PRO250 Inspection Light is £43.25. It’s very much a garage tool, with a mainspowered recharging station, swivelling base and LED floodlight. Nightsearcher claims all three lamps provide a clear white beam with a uniform intensity, courtesy of COB (chips on board) LED technology.
Finally, the multifunction Star Booster offers a powerful 500-lumen LED floodlight and 300-lumen inspection torch. Its battery doubles as a USB power bank and, more usefully, a car jump-starter, too. Using the supplied insulated cables, it’s claimed to jumpstart engines of up to 3.0 litres. It costs £97.95.
The entire Nightsearcher range is insulated with weatherproof plastic, and the company claims drop resistance from up to a metre.
